Agree the Stones. If nothing else they have been around for ten times as long and still put on a great show.

Ridiculous question.
The Beatles were the greatest and most innovative band of all time and single handedly redefined popular music.
The Rolling Stones are an overrated pub rock band.

I don't think any band has put out a better string of albums over such a sustained period as the Stones did between 1968 (Beggars Banquet) and 1976 (Black and Blue).

Stones all day long, Beatles only have a following because the people who pretend to like them so much enter some kind of weird gang where they all big each other up for being fans too. Like Star Wars nerds.

Was listening to Aftermath the other day.
At once flawless and raw rhythm and blues, most impressive.

As Leonard said, the Beatles redefined popular music, although a bit harsh on Mick and the boys being a pub rock band!!

I never really saw them as competitors to each other since it's not comparing like for like I like R & B personally and consider 'Exile on Main Street' to be exceptional and easily the best they've ever done 'Sgt Pepper' was a bit special but although they managed to write some pretty iconic songs, the Beatles weren't anything like as talented at playing instruments as the Rolling Stones To call the Rolling Stones 'shit' is pretty peurile

I listen to the Rolling Stones more.
Which is not very often. But more than The Beatles. Probably just the fatigue of it all.

I cannot stand the Stones. Plodding, middle of the road shite. I put them on the same level as Status Quo.
Beatles are a bit meh.

The Stones have got so many great tunes: Paint it Black, Sympathy for the Devil, Gimme Shelter, Let’s Spend the Night Together, Satisfaction, Monkey Man, Mother’s Little Helper, She’s a Rainbow.
The Beatles have a few: Day in the Life, Tomorrow Never Knows, Dear Prudence, Helter Skelter, Elenor Rigby, Penny Lane.
The Beatles also have some shit.
I declare the Stones the winners.
